Thank you for choosing Growth By Guidance for your tutoring needs. Before beginning regular sessions, please review the following payment and scheduling policies.
These policies are intended to encourage commitment to scheduled sessions and accountability for both the student and tutor. Once a session is scheduled, that time is reserved specifically for the student, and late cancellations can prevent that time from being offered to another student. The goal is to ensure that both the student's and tutor's time is used effectively.
Session Length
The first meeting may be scheduled as a 60-minute trial lesson to allow the student and tutor to determine whether tutoring is a good fit. After the first meeting, regular sessions must be at least 90 minutes.
Regular tutoring sessions have a 90-minute minimum. This allows enough time for a productive lesson while making the most effective use of the time reserved for both the student and tutor.
Payment
Payment is preferred by cash, with Zelle also accepted.
For new clients, payment for the first tutoring session is collected in advance. After the first session, a regular recurring schedule can be arranged if desired.
For clients who prefer non-recurring sessions, payment is collected in advance for each scheduled session. This ensures that both the student and tutor are committed to the appointment. Because scheduling a session requires setting aside dedicated time, this helps avoid unnecessary scheduling and ensures that everyone's time is used effectively.
For clients who establish a regular recurring schedule, payment can be made at the end of each tutoring session or according to an agreed-upon schedule.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
For clients who establish a recurring schedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a tutoring session.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed sessions without notice, will be charged for one hour of tutoring.
